ENVI-PUR becomes the new distribution partner of MECANA AG for the Czech Republic.

Mecana, a Swiss company founded in 1964, specializes in tertiary and quaternary wastewater treatment and is a recognized leader in the field of physical-chemical treatment. The company is best known for the Pile Cloth Media Filtration technology it has developed and holds a number of patents in this field.

This technology is mainly used for the effective removal of suspended solids, phosphorus and microplastics and in conjunction with superfine powder activated carbon (SPAC) for the very effective removal of micropollutants.

Another interesting application is the filtration of sewage water, either as a primary treatment stage at a WWTP or as an overflow treatment from sewerage networks. These filters are also used in industrial applications, especially in water recycling.
